Sebastian's Business Advice

Ok, so I'm a cat.  What do I know about business?  Believe me, if you can take advice from long-dead oriental warlords and kindergartners on how to run your business, it's not too much of a stretch to listen to someone who really knows what it means to get down and dirty with a problem.  So here are some of my best-kept secrets of business success:

  1. Pounce on the little problems before they become big ones.
  2. Always let your associates know when they please you.  A well-timed purr will keep them scratching your belly for hours to come.
  3. Nip poor performance in the bud.  Occasionally you have to show your teeth to an underperforming staff.
  4. Be nonchalant in negotiations.  Believe me: if you wait long enough, they'll dangle that chew toy right in front of you.
  5. Don't be afraid to delegate.  A cat who doesn't get caught up in micromanagement has more time to indulge in life's finer pleasures - like a well-deserved nap before dinner.  Your associates can take care of the details of providing the dinner.
